Description
Whether you’re an ocean lover wanting to swim amongst the marine life, a spearo trying to increase their bottom time and catch more fish, an athlete trying to push deeper, or someone in search of new experiences, a freediving course is a good place to start.
We will teach you the fundamentals of free diving: how to extend your breath hold, remain relaxed while diving and harness your potential.
The first day of the course will focus on safety and expanding your knowledge, practicing breathing techniques and static breath holds. Followed by a pool session where we can apply these techniques and learn skills that we will use in the open water.
Day two will consist of two in water sessions. We will initially focus on safety, freediving skills and how to dive efficiently. The second session will combine what you have learnt so far, and focus on achieving our personal target depths, to a maximum of 20m.
The SSI Freediver Certification will qualify you to dive with the full freedive system and a buddy, and provide the knowledge and skills to Ssafely progress and enjoy the open water.

- Minimum age is 12. Depth restrictions apply for 12-14 year old's with the maximum depth of 12m. (Special bookings and adjusted prices are required for any students aged under 15 years, due to limited depth and reduced class sizes).* VIP courses for children or small groups can be arranged please contact our staff or visit our VIP course booking page.
- All persons under the age of 18 require parent/guardian signature for participation.
- Successfully complete the fitness to dive questionnaire. (A medical is only required if you answer yes to any of the following questions on this form.)

- Swim 100m without stopping. There is no time limit and you can swim in any style you like.
- Own transport is required to all pool and diving locations
- SSI Freediver certification- Completion over 2- 3 days
- Online academic training to be completed prior to face to face training
- 1 academic session
- 2 pool/confined water sessions
- 2 open water sessions
- Maximum training depth 20m / 65 feet (age 15+) (age 12-14 reduced to 12m).
- Gear hire ($50 hire fee) Includes Mask, Snorkel, Freediving Fins and Wetsuit.
- Transport is not provided
- Some medical conditions may prevent you from free diving. For example: heart disease, asthma, or epilepsy. Cost of diving medical is not included. A medical is only required if you answer yes to any of the following questions on this form.
